Aura Farming: Performing Coolness for Imaginary Points
What it is
"Aura" is teen slang for someone's perceived coolness — and "aura points" are the imaginary score. "Aura farming" is doing something deliberately cool on camera: the slow walk, the perfect catch, the unbothered reaction, hoping it looks effortless. The videos are the point; the points aren't real.
Why it's spreading
It's a game everyone can play with zero equipment, and the fails are funnier than the wins.
