"6-7!": The Chant Your Teen Won't Stop Yelling
What it is
"Six-seven!" — yelled in hallways, at games, in response to absolutely nothing. It comes from a Skilla Baby song built around LaMelo Ball's 6'7" frame, and it means nothing. That's the joke. Your teen yelling "6-7" at dinner is a laugh track with no joke attached.
Why it's spreading
It's a shibboleth — yelling it marks you as online. The less sense it makes to adults, the funnier it is to teens.
The one thing to know
There's no hidden meaning. When you ask "what's 6-7?" you've already lost. (Full entry in the /slang dictionary.)
