Where it stands
Platform
HBO / HBO Max
Platform rating
TV-MA
Seasons
3 seasons
Episodes
HBO lists 24 regular episodes; the series also has two special episodes, reported separately.
Status
Complete after Season 3. HBO confirmed the conclusion to Variety in June 2026.
The rating is the one we checked on the platform. Ratings can differ by region and by episode. Independent content-review coverage also differs by season, and a review of an early season is not proof that every latest episode was reviewed.
The appeal
Why teens watch
The striking look, music and emotionally heightened characters can attract attention through social clips. Full episodes also contain explicit and disturbing material that a makeup tutorial or fan edit leaves out.
Content advisory
What is in it
Language
Frequent strong profanity, slurs and sexually explicit dialogue occur. This is not mild school-drama language.
Sex and romance
Explicit sex, substantial nudity, sexual exploitation and sexual violence are significant cautions. These warnings concern the content and treatment, not a character’s identity.
Violence
Assault, coercion, disturbing sexual violence and other physical danger occur. Addiction-related crises can be as upsetting as physical attacks.
Themes
Drug use, overdose, relapse, trauma, body image, unstable relationships and exploitation are central. An adult drama is not a substitute for accurate health information or support.
Binge factor
Can they stop?
Its intensity can make a long viewing session exhausting. Preview specific episodes and set boundaries; this dossier is not recommending it as routine teen or family viewing.

Memes and references
Euphoria makeup and highly stylized character edits can detach the look from the story’s addiction and exploitation. Ask what someone has actually watched before assuming a reference means they have seen every episode.
