What it means
“Fanum tax” usually means taking a bite or a portion of a friend’s food. It is a snack-sharing joke associated with the streamer Fanum and the AMP creator group.
Where it came from
Fanum’s habit of taking food from fellow creators became a recurring joke in streams. The phrase spread beyond those original clips, including through the streaming circle around Kai Cenat.
What to say as a parent
“Is that a snack-sharing joke, or is someone actually taking your food?” You do not need to ban the phrase to make the boundary clear: sharing is only sharing if the other person agrees.
